Pemantauan garis pantai dengan menggunakan citra Landsat

COASTLINE MONITORING BY USING OF LANDSAT IMAGERY. In general, the coastline changes are due to the actions of abrasion and accresion. Those two ac-tions can be induced by man made and natural activities as well as by a combination among them. To monitor these changes, the utilization of landsat sattelite has proven as one of the most effective method. There are two sensor system in landsat sattelite i.e. Return Beam Vidicon (RBV) and Multispectral Scanner (MSS), and their principle differences are mentioned in this paper. Furthermore, this paper will explain the capa-bility of landsat sattelite in the monitoring of coastline changes.
