Abstract

The application of ASTM C - 799 - 75 procedure for the determination of uranium concentration in the mixersatters feed of purex 1st cycle simulation has been done using tecussel EPL - 28 potentiograph. ASTM C - 799 - 75 procedure is a reduction of U VI to U IV by means of ferrosulfate reducing agent, followed by oxydation of U VI to U IV using sodium dichromate solution finally. Uranyl nitrate samples analyzed gave relative error of 0,33 % standard deviation of 2,012 g/l, precision of 0,48 % at 95 % confidence level and 441,0739 g/l average uranium concentration in 440,0025 g/l to 444, 8780 g/l range. Evaluation done on 138 samples, shown that these having 0,25 ml to 0,344 ml sample 33 volume gave realativity high accuracy. This is a matter of fast according to the information of the ASTM C - 799 - 75, stating that the accuracy can be obtained in range between 100 mg - 150 mg sample aliquout uranium content.
