Inventarisasi hama dan penyakit pada koleksi paku-pakuan Kebun Raya Purwodadi

Purwodadi Botanical Garden has a number of plant collections, one of which is a collection of ferns. As an ex-situ conservation institution, the Purwodadi Botanical Garden obliged to maintain and preserve the collection for growing well. Obstacles that must be faced during its maintenance is the presence of pests and diseases. Basic information about the species of pests and diseases of the ferns collection in Purwodadi Botanical Garden is needed to facilitate the eradication process. This study aims to inventory the types of pests and diseases affecting the ferns collection of Purwodadi Botanical Garden. The results showed that from 67 species of ferns, 15 species attacked disease and 3 species attacked pests. The types of disease in these collections include leaf rust (Uromyces sp.), black rot (Guignardia bidwellii), Cercospora leaf spot (Cercospora sp. and Cercospora nephrolepis), Septoria leaf spot (Septoria apii and Septoria asplenii), Alternaria leaf spot (Alternaria sp., Alternaria microlepis and Alternaria polypodii), Stigmina leaf spot (Stigmina sp.), Colletotrichum leaf spot / Antraknose (Colletotrichum osmundae and Glomerella bolbitis) and charred disease (Scorch). While the types of pests include leafminer caterpillar (Callopistria fl oridensis), aphids (Idiopteris haemorrhoidalis), and white lice (Pseudococcus sp.)
