MOTIF HIAS PRASEJARAH DI PULAU SERAM MALUKU TENGAH INDONESIA (Kajian Perbandingan)
Abstract
Tulisan ini memberikan gambaran tentang perbandingan motif hias prasejarah yang terdapat pada arsitektur di wilayah Pulau Seram Maluku Tengah. Kawasan Maluku Tengah dipilih dalam pembahasan ini, karena memiliki 2 alasan penting, 1) secara geografis Pulau Seram (Maluku Tengah) merupakan salah satu Pulau Besar yang membentang secara horizontal di garis wallacea. 2) lokasi penelitian yang dibahas tidak mengenal atau memiliki tradisi megalitik. Tujuan penelitian kiranya dapat memberikan informasi penting kepada arkeologi bagi penelitian arkeologi di Maluku. Metode penelitan menggunakan pendekatan etnoarkeologi, dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perbandingan motif hias arsitektur di Seram Utara lebih banyak ditemukan pada tiang-tiang kayu penyangga rumah panggung dan anak tangga. Sedangkan pada arsitektur di Seram Selatan lebih banyak ditemukan motif hias pada dinding, pintu, ruang tamu, tiang, dan digantung. Motif-motif hias arsitektur tersebut pun variatif seperti, motif binatang, geometris, antropormorfik, manusia. Jenis-jenis motif hias tersebut untuk wilayah Seram Utara lebih didominasi oleh motif geometris dan antropormorfik, sedangkan Seram Selatan lebih didominasi oleh motif binatang, geometris, antropormorfik.References
