LEKSIKON PENGUNGKAP KARAKTERISTIK BUDAYA SUNGAI MASYARAKAT BANJARMASIN DAN NAGARA: TELAAH ETNOSEMANTIS (LEXICON OF CHARACTERISTIC DISCLOSURE OF RIVER CULTURE AT BANJARMASIN AND NAGARA SOCIETIES: AN ETHNOSEMANTIC STUDY)
Abstract
Banjarmasin dan Nagara merupakan dua kawasanang terdiri atas sungai dan rawa. Di sepanjang aliran sungai dan rawa ini terdapat permukiman warga dengan segala aktivitas yang berhubungan dengan budaya sungai. Aktivitas budaya sungai yang dilakukan warga di kedua kawasan ini tercermin dalam leksikon-leksikon yang terdapat dalam bahasa mereka.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan leksikon pengungkap karakteristik budaya sungai masyarakat Banjarmasin dan Nagara, dan mendeskripsikan karakteristik budaya sungai pada masyarakat Banjarmasin dan Nagara berdasarkan leksikon. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari data umum kedua wilayah dan analisis data leksikon diketahui terdapat leksikon-leksikon yang mengungkapkan karakteristik budaya sungai masyarakat Banjarmasin dan Nagara. Selanjutnya diketahui juga unsur karakteristik yang terdapat pada leksikon tersebut meliputi bahasa, mata pencaharian, religi, pengetahuan dan teknologi, dan sistem sosial kemasyarakatan. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu makna yang terdapat pada leksikon-leksikon bahasa masyarakat Banjarmasin dan Nagara
mencerminkan karakteristik kebudayaan mereka sebagai suku Banjar yang tidak jauh berbeda karena berhubungan dengan cara hidup di pemukiman atas sungai atau rawa.

Banjarmasin and Nagara consist of rivers and swamps. Along these areas there are residential communities with all activities related to river culture. The culturalriver activities of the two regions are reflected in the lexicons contained in their language. This research aim are to describe the lexicons which express the characteristics of river culture of the people, and to depict the cultural river characteristcs of the people based on the lexicons. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Based on the general data of both regions and lexicon data analysis, many of lexicons have revealed the characteristics of river culture of both people, Banjarmasin and Nagara. Furthermore, the characteristics on lexicon are found in language, livelihood, religion, knowledge and technology, and social systems. The conclusion is that the lexicon meaning of Banjarmasin and Nagara languages eflects their cultural characteristics as Banjarese which look liketheir ways of living along the river banks and swamp areas.
